John F. Wightman, M.Sc., FGAC, P.Eng.

John earned B.Sc. and M.Sc. degrees in geology from Acadia University. He holds professional registration as a Professional Engineer, Fellow of the Geological Association of Canada, Chartered Cartographer, as a Canada Lands Surveyor and is registered as a prospector in Nova Scotia. As a member of a 4 generation mining / geology family heritage he fully understands the importance of mining as a creator of employment and economic prosperity.

He retired in 1994 as Principal of the Nova Scotia College of Geographic Sciences where he was an instructor and administrator over some 32 years. Since then he has been fully involved in mineral exploration as a prospector and geologist. John brings over 45 years of administrative, management and project planning experience – with a broad foundation of engineering, geology and related technology skills to his management firm – The GOLDFIELDS Group of Companies. Through this entity he manages the affairs of some 10, private, mineral exploration and renewable energy companies with exploration licenses and projects in Nova Scotia and New Brunswick. Many of these properties have been optioned or are being jointly developed with Canadian, American and Australian interests.

John was a founding Director and Vice President of the Mining Association of Nova Scotia (MANS) and has served continuously as a Director of MANS for the past 8 years as well as Chair of the Exploration and Land Access Committee of MANS. In 2013 he was retained by the Nova Scotia Prospectors Association as its Executive Director.

John’s contribution to mining was recognized in 2010 by the Nova Scotia Department of Natural Resources when it presented him with the “Industrial Minerals Man of the Year” award. In 2014 he was presented with the “Presidents Award” by the Mining Association of Nova Scotia.

Dennis J. Martin

Dennis J. Martin was employed by Gulf Canada for 18 years and in his most recent position was head of Strategic Planning for Gulf and its 72% owned subsidiary, Gulf Indonesia Resources. At Gulf Canada, Mr. Martin was involved in the planning and marketing of approximately $6 Billion in public debt and equity offerings with the Company. He has extensive IPO experience and was directly involved in two highly visible and successful IPOs, Athabasca Oil Sands Trust (predecessor to Canadian Oil Sands Trust) and Gulf Indonesia Resources Ltd.

Mr. Martin also has extensive real estate experience, including Senior Vice President roles in Financial Planning and Analysis with two public REITs (Apartment Investment and Management Co, NYSE:AIV and HCP, Inc., NYSE: HCP). In his most recent leadership roles, Mr. Martin was CFO of two private, equity-sponsored companies that successfully liquidated in private market transactions (American Residential Communities and Carefree Communities).

Mr. Martin is currently an independent director TIER REIT, Inc., a self-managed, Dallas-based public office REIT (NYSE: TIER) and an Independent Director of Petro Motion, Inc., a private Canadian company engaged in the development of new materials and processes to improve the efficiency of companies working in the heavy oil production sector.

Mr. Martin is a citizen of both Canada and the USA and holds a B.A. in economics and an MBA from the University of British Columbia.

Edward Marlow

Mr.Edward Marlow is currently the Chief executive officer of African Potash Limited, Chairman of Sanatana Resources Inc and a non-executive Director of Thor Explorations Inc. He was previously on the advisory board of Hathor Exploration and a non-executive Director of ESO Uranium (now Alpha Minerals/Fission Uranium). He brings a wealth of experience to Aldrin with his past experiences of Managing Director at Credit Suisse and being the founder and operator of the African Principal Investments at HSBC and Global Head of Principal investment. Mr. Marlow holds a MBA degree from Cranfield University and diploma in law from University of Northumbria.
